Currently, we conduct on farm slaughter of our cattle. We find it is one of the most humane ways to conduct this process because the cattle are in a familiar environment and remain calm and relaxed right up to the end. In order to abide by government regulations, you must own the steer at the time of slaughter. You buy your live steer from us, and we facilitate the rest of the process for you.
How it Works:
Step One: Purchase one or more of the live steers listed below by submitting a $500 deposit. This is now your steer.
Step Two: On a specified date, the licensed mobile butcher attends our ranch and slaughters your steer. It is then transported by the butcher, to a licensed facility for processing, which includes hanging and custom cut and wrap.
Step Three: You will be contacted by the butcher to discuss how you would like your steer cut and wrapped. They are very knowledgeable and will gladly provide explanation and recommendations if desired.
Step Four: We will notify you as soon as your custom cut and wrapped beef is ready for pickup (from our ranch) or delivery, and we will have a dollar total for you at this time.
We like to KEEP IT SIMPLE! We pay the butcher, so you only ever have to worry about settling one account, and that's with us. We also pick up your beef from the butcher so you can get it right here at the ranch or we can deliver it to you.
You buy from us, you pickup or receive delivery from us.
You will only be billed for the actual pounds of beef that are cut and wrapped and end up in your freezer.
Example - You end up with 320lbs of cut and wrapped beef from your steer. We bill you $7.85/lb and your total bill will be $2512.00 (minus the $500 deposit already paid)
We don't bill the total in advance because we don't know for sure exactly how many pounds of beef your steer will give you. We can give a close estimate but we don't know for sure until it's been hung and then processed.

Your beef will be ready 14 - 21 days after the slaughter date.
